Zywiec Porter
9.5% ABV

Zywiec Porter, pronounced "je-vi-ets", is a dark, strong beer brewed according to the traditional recipe from 1881, with the Munich malt and special malts for caramel and colour plus the highest quality aromatic hops. Everything together creates a unique combination of taste. Production of this Porter was moved to Bracki Bowar in 2004.  In Poland this beer is as cheap as chips..

Review

On the nose the beer has a dark, nutty aroma with coffee and chocolate notes.  The beer pours with a black thick consistency with a creamy tan head.  The high level of alcohol is what you notice instantly, very strong!  The sweetness hits first before the dark, richness follows through.  The palate is medium to heavy.  The beer develops bags of rich flavour as it sits and warms.  It looks like a heavy dark beer and tastes like a proper porter head banger... Very strong!
